CREATIVE ART

MISSION STATEMENT

We, as Visual Creative Arts students, will develop our artistic skills, imagination, reflective and critical thinking skills through art production. We will also deepen our understanding of the cultural and historical contexts of art.

Note: Arts in education, in dance, music, theatre, and visual arts consists of experience, explorations, and expressions that develop and integrate all aspects of our intelligence. The arts are essential to a basic education and the right of every student in New Mexico. To ensure arts education for all students, the curriculum should be delivered through the collaborative efforts of arts specialists and classroom teachers.

· Demonstrate creative process

· Learn art criticism

· Increase awareness of different cultures

· Demonstrate knowledge about technology and invention
